A Minnesota Writer's Lookshelf

1) Who are you and where are you?
I'm Jodi Chromey and I live in Minnesota.
2) What do you do for work?
I'm a writer.
3) What do you do for fun?
Read books, write, argue about pop culture, talk to myself.
4) Tell me something about your bookshelves.
This is a picture of my small collection of books signed by the author. Well, except for the partially pictured Complete Calvin and Hobbes (that acts as a bookend) and the Kathleen Turner memoir (she mentions me, in what is the most random event in my life). But everything in between has been signed by the author. I call this my in case of fire shelf.
5) Tell me something about ONE of the books on your shelf.
I got Cat's Cradle as a birthday gift. My friend Shawn worked at the school where Vonnegut was a writer in residence. When I opened the package I thought, 'why did he send me a book I already read?' It wasn't until much later that I realized what it was. My hands actually shook when I opened the cover and saw Vonnegut's inscription. Wow.
