A Notre Dame Lookshelf
1) Who are you and where are you?
Mary Ellen, Notre Dame, IN
2) What do you do for work?
College student
3) What do you do for fun?
READ, practice yoga, consume prodigious amounts of coffee
4) Tell me something about your bookshelves.
Right now, it's a conglomeration of books from this semester and last, with a few of my own books thrown in for good measure. They're sort of organized by height...
5) Tell me something about ONE of the books on your shelf.
I'm currently reading Charlotte Brontë's Villette (for enjoyment). I decided I wanted to try something less well-known than Jane Eyre. Some say it's her best work. I haven't gotten far enough into it to form a definite opinion, though.

I loved the Purity Myth, by the way--nice choice. And while I do feel like there are a good number of people reading good books, not many do it on their own free time so, good for you, Mary! Personally, I've never been a Bronte fan, (Jane Eyre was surprisingly enjoyable, so go figure) but I applaud you for reading something.
Villette is fantastic!
. . . I need to go reread it <3
